[After the bombshell of news that Cesare receives, he wastes no time. He quickly folds Jon's note, placing it in his pocket, and walks into his apartment to find Lucrezia. His shoulders are stiff, his fists clenched.]
[She is flipping through a book of poetry that she's found, legs propped up on his couch. She hears him coming, and eyes flick up with a soft smile before she sees the look on his face.
Good day, I hope you have been keeping well? I just thought you would like to know made an announcement and have asked for further suggestions just in case others have ideas we hadn't considered. Please feel free to offer your input as well. Being transparent about it may restore some faith in the idea as well, at least that is what I thought.
I am well. The boat did give me some trouble, but I am fine now. I hope you are as well. I am still adjusting to this place as well as can be expected.
Someone from my homeworld arrived into Duplicity today. If you know anything about Shiloh, you know that is a bad thing. Life and death bad.
If you have any respect for me at all, please, keep anything you know about me (especially pertaining to my history or sex life) completely to yourself. Consequences of abusing my trust in this will not be pretty.
[How strange he regrets what he's done now when he tried to convince her otherwise. She is not a cruel person to bring it up. She likes him. Not many here have an air of aristocracy, and she finds herself comfortable with it.]
I would hold our conversations too import to divulge. Much as a priest must hold his silence, I, too, would say nothing to anyone.
[This cam business has been distressing, to say the least, 9S' own popular rank outstripping most of the others here. Aptly he's been in the ninth place for quite some time now, and seems to be hovering there. Which means he's in the top ten. Which means probably everyone has seen the bullshit the impostor has been up to. It's...distressing, but there's not much he can do about it. He's planning on getting rid of the nuisance sooner rather than later, but the stuff that has been done or said by 'him' is something he wants to distance himself from.
He doesn't need people getting the wrong idea of him, especially when it's been so difficult to form ties with others here in the first place. Which is why he bothers to message her in the first place. Out of everyone here, she's seemed, at least in his opinion, the most like an angel. He wants her to think good of him. Craves it even, on a certain level.]
Hello Lucrezia. I'm sure you're aware by now of the videos that have been broadcast of people here. I just wanted to let you know that it's not me if you did happen to see me do er...questionable things. I'll admit I saw a feed of you but it was only for a split second. I turned it off, I promise.
[It actually takes a bit for her to respond. She is purposely avoiding her device as to not be witness to any of the videos going about. Lucrezia feels her own honor has been tarnished, and she would not wish to be a part of any other.]
Dearest Nines. You can be rest assured that I have not seen your likeness.
[The problem with 9S is that he fixates. He focuses on the details and has a hard time letting things go. The mood whiplash he'd received from simply answering a question and then trying to explain a concept that was already difficult to put into words only to receive vitriol in return...it shakes him to his very core. It's a problem with him, the fact he's so sensitive, and it leads to certain...problems and behaviours. He's been pacing in his and A2's apartment for a solid ten minutes, ungloved hands picking at synthetic nails. He feels like an animal in a cage and looks like one, what with the way he's acting.
Just when he thought he was getting somewhere, that he was maybe understanding humans a little better...he gets blasted. Was it really so easy to mess up? All he'd done was tell the truth.
All he'd done was try to explain a concept the way he'd been told about it.
He's not sure if he should even bother messaging her. What good would it do? Wouldn't he just be a bother? Maybe she was busy? But he's repeating those words over and over again in his head - the more he does the more his teeth clench. The more he digs his nails into his palms.
As if he didn't know of suffering or experiencing loss or death...why were his experiences or feelings so invalid in comparison? Were they really worth nothing next to a human's suffering?
In the end he does message her, simply because he doesn't know what else to do or who to turn to. Emotions are prohibited rings over and over again in his ears as he taps out a message, gaze dull as the screen reflects the words back to him. For once he wishes he hadn't been programmed with the ability to feel at all.]
Good day, when you have some time, Lucrezia, I wish to have a few words with you. I've been looking into places regarding the committments we were hoping to achieve in regards to charity and have put down a deposit on a place in the down. It will need a little work first, but it should work as a place of worship for others but also as a place to conduct other work from.
Let me know when you are available so I can take you there. Feel free to call if that is easier, also. Kind regards, Arthur.
[ Now if only this wasn't coming from dualcam $$$. Ah, well. ]
Arthur. It is well to hear from you. I am available at your earliest convenience. There are many who have showed interest in beginning work, so I think we should have it fixed in know time.
[On the night of the 24th, whenever Lucrezia retires to her room to the evening, she'll find an assortment of gifts waiting for her, neatly laid out beneath her window.
Most importantly, perhaps, are several bolts of expensive, good quality jewel-toned fabrics, which can be used for her store, or, if she wishes, to make dresses of her own.
Upon the window sill will be two smaller boxes, one containing a set of bath bombs. The other, much smaller and more rectangular in shape, has a beautiful rose gold bracelet resting inside.
There's a small card, complete with a wintery scene upon taped to one of the bolts of fabric, Ezio's small, neat script filling the back:]
[It isn't particularly strange for Lucrezia to receive a message from Ezio. Nor is it odd for it be of a sexual nature. What is weird is that this picture comes completely without protest or provocation.
The lighting is slightly dim, but the location is definitely his bedroom. Ezio is stretched out over the length of the bed, resting on his stomach with his arms folded above his head, face pressed down and half hidden in the messy bedding. Every inch of him is completely bare, and there's a very nice view of taunt, round ass. There's something artistic about the composition that makes it easy to tell exactly who took it for him.
[That is a most flattering angle, and she is sure that Leonardo was involved in the design of this. She has a feeling it is not meant for her though, wondering who it was for. Perhaps 2A.]
I must say I am a fan of this sight, but I think I was not the intended recipient.
[At some point, Lucrezia's phone receives a few picture texts, all apparently uploaded at the same time. There's four of them, and they're all of Dorian--that much is clear since his face is either half-way or fully visible in each one.
But they're also fully nude. These aren't your average frat boy mirror flexing photos, either, but are actually... surprisingly well lit and are in poses that are meant to accentuate his best features as much as they are to titillate. All of them skirt the line between totally obscene and tasteful.
Apparently, Dorian discovered the camera function on his tablet a while ago but doesn't have the technical know-how to encrypt any of his files.]
[She's sitting back in her apartment when her device begins to go off. It seems she's received a series of texts, and she isn't expecting them from Dorian. It isn't the first time she's received such pictures, but it is unprovoked. She takes a moment to admire them though, assuming they are meant for her.]
[ and that's the extent of the message. sometimes, someone just needed some encouragement and though lucrezia wasn't that person, maybe this would help her.
