[She finds the girl endearing, trying to be utterly polite. When she flips the locket on to show her, Lucrezia is smiling back gently.]
You are not the first to approach me on the subject, and I would be happy to be of assistance. Are you here in Treun or...? [She waits for an answer, willing to invite her to the Fortuna estate.]
[Pod bobs her head in a little bow, beaming. Of course, the Lady knows Treun better, so Pod waits to see if she has a suggestion of where best to talk.]
[Pod bobs her head again and turns off the locket before looking around for someone who looks like they could be an official. In truth it takes her longer than she had expected, but eventually Pod convinces the man in question that she's not making things up and gets an escort to the estate.
Pod does her best not to look like a fish out of water, and suspects she fails, but her face brightens when she sees Lucrezia in the distance, and she hurries forward, tumbling herself into a slightly hasty bow. At her side is a wolverine, who sits patiently at Pod's heels while he waits for his person to make introductions.]
[When the guards announce that there is a girl come to see her at the gates, she instructs them to bring her immediately. She is unsurprised when the girl lumbers forward. It is endearing, and she can't help the smile.]
It is fine, Pod. I have cleared my day for you. Come. Have you eaten? I could have the servants bring a tray of sweets, and we can discuss your business in the parlor.
Then I shall have something prepared. [The servants come to her at once and she instructs them to have something made and to ready the drawing room. When the animal makes a noise, she is taken for a moment before dipping lower to offer her hand.]
And some meat for Kiga then? It is well met. [In these lands Lucrezia knows that not all four-legged creatures are just that. Many hold much higher intelligences, and she means not to insult him either.]
Thank you again, and yes, Kiga would enjoy something too.
[Kiga sniffs once more and decides he likes this new person well enough to allow for petting. He tips his head forward, inviting it, and Pod laughs.]
He likes you, Lady Lucrezia.
[Pod is a ball of barely contained energy. She has something that needs doing and she will do it, and this conversation, she hopes, will show her how best to go about it! But it would be rude to rush, so she waits, trying to be patient.]
And I like him, [Lucrezia says with a dutiful pat to Kiga's head. It doesn't take her long to realize how antsy the girl is, and she recognizes the youthfulness. Straightening, she beckons the younger girl to follow.]
Come. There is much you wish to discuss.
[And so she travels through a lavish hall until she comes to a den of sorts, the walls lined with books and a grand desk in the middle it. Two lush chairs sit opposite, and she chooses to take a seat at the one behind the cherry desk.]
[Pod follows, easily keeping pace, and when they get there, she's very obviously interested in the books, but after a moment settles down. Not knowing what else to do, she starts explaining.]
Do you know John Grimm? He's assigned me a task here in Treun. There are those who dislike shardbearers very strongly and he worries over it. I'm to find natives here willing to work with us, and make sure John can be informed of anti-shardbearer happenings and other important events in the city or government so that he can take action to help, or stop violence.
And, well, I was thinking that it might be nice to see what I can do to improve the natives' opinions of us on the whole as well.
We'll just have to work harder to prove that we mean them no harm, and wish to help them then--oh!
Maybe there's a way we could work together to show them that we mean only to benefit the people of Treun. Show them what skills and talents and craft we can bring to the city and its people or suchlike.
[Pod pauses for a moment.]
But as for my goal here, I mostly aim to fulfill John Grimm's request of me, and then see what else can be done.
[Pod nods excitedly, almost shaking her whole body with it.]
Yes, a fair would be a perfect way, I think! We can make sure the other shardbearers know about it so they can come to Treun if they wish to aid its people.

If you should find a city official, tell them I have sent you. They will bring you to the Fortuna estate.

[Kiga whines a little, and Pod laughs.]
I was getting to that, boy! I should introduce you to Kiga, my brother-in fur.
[The wolverine dips his head for a moment and takes a couple bouncing steps forward to get a better sniff.]
But you needn't bring out sweets; simple fare is enough for me.

You would not be the first to come to me with such matters. Tell me, have you been in Treun long?
no subject
Not long, but I quite like what I've seen of the city, and I'm sure the people here are quite kind, underneath the suspicion of strangers.
no subject
But we will think of something to change this. Have you any goal?

Like a fair then? We could do it at the market, make a public display?

Yes, a fair would be a perfect way, I think! We can make sure the other shardbearers know about it so they can come to Treun if they wish to aid its people.
