I am the only Lucrezia here that I know of. [It's a peckish smile, but kindly nonetheless. The mention of the man gets that sort of reaction, though there's a curiosity as to why a young girl is asking after her.]
I can best Gendry in a fight. [ not true.] I fought the giant worms and killed a few. [ true.] I know how to use a sword, I learned from the best. [ also true. but she's sounding a little defensive. ugh, gendry, she hates you so much right now.] And I can use a bow.
[She's reminded of her little brother, though she's not sure Geoffrey would care as well in a fight. And if Gendry has sent her, then she must trust that he knows what he's doing.]
It is a pleasure, Arya. I am Lucrezia as Gendry has told you. He must think highly of you, and if you are a friend of his, I will gladly take your service. [She gives a slight dip of her head.]
[She's very unsure of this, but she thinks it better to have the girl near her. Not just because the girl offered her protection, but given the state of things, a young girl shouldn't be running about the castle.]
My rooms. I'm looking to gather supplies for the injured.
That is kindly of you, and I could use it. I am all the way down the hall. A red and gold bull is on the door. I can have a faerie meet you if you like. [So highborn.]
I've seen your door. I live in the same hall. [ she remembered the bull because of gendry.] I will be there in less than a hour. Don't leave your room. [ pause ]
[A scarce-heard knock at Lucrezia's door comes from a very pleased-looking fairy with a wide smile, carefully hovering in place and offering a handwritten letter.]
[She would attend anything Alayne, or Sansa as she is known as, requested her for. However the message at the end has her puzzled. She has never met this Sigrid, but the writing is different. She flips the invitation over for more of a clue before looking at the fairy.]
[ One of the ruddy hawks of the Southern Greenwood alights on a nearby window, branch or stone, screeching and flapping its wings. It has sharp eyes, like all from the Maechenibryth, but waits patiently to have the small scroll attached to its foot unravelled. It reads in looping Drabbish:
Invitation for Lady Lucrezia Borgia and Companion to the winter Yule festivities within I Othrann-in-Heneb, fortress of Thranduil Oropherion, Elvenking of the Maechenibryth.
To celebrate the holiday of the native Aelfen clans, all guests are welcome to remain within the mountainhome until from 25th December until early January for music and merriment. Bed and board provided. Please bring this invitation with you and make your way south along the forest river where marchwardens will find your party and act as escorts. To confirm attendance, please attach an appropriate message to the hawk. Alternatively, contact Thranduil via locket.
The hawk, if needed, will await a snack along with the RSVP before flying off. ]
It is a pleasure, Field Marshall Lancelot. [Lucrezia is also from a time where titles and formality are commonplace. In turn her voice is stern, but welcoming.]
It is not bold, and my presence is known well enough here. You've been told correctly, Marshall. [Though she is wondering what he would like with her. She is no soldier and is still learning to handle her potions skill let alone her shard's ability.]
If you don't mind. Treun is a reasonably prosperous trade city. We could use supplies from it, if they can be negotiated. Anything would be of help. Materials for our fortifications, fresh horses, food, builders if they have some who might contribute to our citadel. I am uncertain if Treun can be persuaded to send us troops, but that is always worth trying as well.
Governor Fortuna is not likely to send troops, but I can at least ask for supplies. From what I know they are willing to extend trade with the Seelie, finding us to be more favorable. [She is hoping to aid in that at least.]
As I thought. I am grateful for anything you can obtain, all the same. Let me know if you need anything for the negotiations, Lady Lucrezia, and thank you.
